Hi Lin, I want to start with the truth: I love Hamilton. I loved it from the moment I first heard it and I’ll love it for the rest of my life, even if you don’t respond to this letter. In fact, I’m listening to it right now. “I swear your pride will be the death of us all; beware, it goes before the fall.” No great work of art is flawless, and though Hamilton comes close, there is one major flaw that I want to bring to your attention. It’s this line: “Madison you’re mad as a hatter so take your medicine.” The problem? This is clearly an insult, and mental illness should never be used in such a way. This is clearly ableism. I’ll break it down for you. First, “mad” is considered a slur by many. I don’t know if I would go as far as to label it as such, but I do know that it has a...

Okay, now you can get off your high horse. Since the 2016 election cycle began, you have been up there, passing judgement to the now elected President and his voters. Now, I don’t disagree with you – he is quite rightly, a bawbag. But in this political climate where the victims of bigotry, racism, financial burden, illness and sexual assault are still being suppressed – you award a man the highest achievement in his field. Best Actor in a Leading Role. After shaking your fist and pointing your finger at all that voted for the ‘pussy grabber’, you did the same thing. You spit on the face of all who marched on January 21 2017 to fight for our voices to be heard. You spit on the face of all women and men who are victims of sexual assault. You spit on the face of HIS victims of...

Now is the right time to tell the world why I have loved Nashville so much over the years. And trust me I will always love Nashville. A few years back, I don’t even know where Nashville was in the US, I have no idea what country music was, and I didn’t even know most of the cast … I was looking for a TV Show to watch and I read some pretty good things about a show called « Nashville ». I fell in love with it from that very first scene between Rayna and Deacon on the bridge … I’ve been a huge fan since then. I never thought that a TV Show can actually change your life, but it changed mine as well as the life of so many other Nashies. I’ve been so proud to be part of this huge community of fans. Thank You Nashville for giving life to so many awesome characters. Among them, Rayna...

Dear Olinda, I must say my heart broke seeing you in the state you were on your first live video. As someone who has suffered from depression and felt so upset to the point of suicide because of the way a loved hurt me, I get it, I get you. I know you are hurting. It’s a type of pain that nothing anyone says can help. I understand, I get you. I guess what I’m trying to say is Be strong, be courageous. It sounds hard now but trust me you’re stronger than you think. You will get through this. There will be better days. Be strong, do it for your children. You’re all they have. Do it for you, you’re a hard worker. You deserve to be happy. Stay Strong Olinda. I understand. Yours Sincerely, Annonymous

Dear 2017, Today is the day you see the light and spread your wings over this world for a whole year. A world who is welcoming you with great expectations, long wish lists and a heavy baggage of unrealistic resolutions carried over the years. What a huge responsibility for a new born, I know! But darling, do not fret. See, us human beings, experience the utmost love twice in our lives: When we come to this world and when we leave it. And to anchor this habit, today you see billions of us coming to you with open arms and hearts filled with love and hope, dreams and big plans. Embrace it, enjoy it, soak up as much as you can of it while it lasts, because soon, much sooner than you could imagine, you will be regretted, blamed for horrible things and we could not wait for your...

I want to start off this open letter by getting something out of the way, and that is that I understand. Trends are what they are and there's little to nothing that can be done. An audience wants to see what it wants to see. What is popular is what is popular. I also understand that, with a few exceptions, your audience retention hinges on you keeping a viewer engaged with your video, and that means showcasing the latest game to come out, be it Triple-A or indie, be it PC, console or both. I'm simply making this request as someone that, in a year of everyone on the platform addressing the same issues over and over again more so than before, wants to see more variety come out of the big names on the platform, and hopes that the shift in the paradigm of video content will usher forth...

We're rolling back the years with this one. Back to 2008, 2009 and 2010, probably the period of time I learned the most about my skills, who I wanted to be and how I could turn a passion into productivity. Let's look at the present first. I've logged onto an old site I used to visit multiple times a day, Filefront. Later known as Gamefront. I see that a previously dead website and set of servers have been rescued by the most unlikely of groups: ModDB. I always neglected ModDB in favour of supporting a wavering and conflicted community on Gamefront. I produced mods and helped as many people as I could, while fireworks and politics turmoiled the landscape of the site. However, for saving that history, my mods and hours, weeks and years of my hard work and sleepless night, I must pass on...

Dear Arrow, There's been a lot of tension and passive aggressive discussions on social media lately. I’m not saying one is wrong and one is right. It is not black and white. As a female viewer, it has been really difficult lately. When we make criticism of an aspect on the show, it is not to attack somebody personally. We want to make a point across that could be up for discussion or reflection. Nobody wants the show to fail, nobody wants to hurt anyone, what we want is our criticism to be seen as a valid one. We want people to understand that it is an issue that we really care about, that even if female viewers are not the main target market for comic book shows, we want to feel that our opinion, our voice and our concerns matter. It is such a tense climate right now and...

I read your open letter to Johnny Depp... (letting him know that you do not need him anymore)... That you would be getting rid of your pillow with his face on it.... etc. I read about how the only reason you ever dug him anyway was because of his chiseled masterpiece of a face...and that you objectified and lusted after him for years and fed on him as countless others have. I read about how much you hate him now, about how all those years of vamping on him and his spirit, is eternally a regret... I am writing this open letter to you Anne Cohen because unfortunately you have not been completely honest with yourself nor your audience... Calling him out like you did with an online open letter describing your disgust and outrage for everything you believe him to be, made it perfectly clear...
