As I sit and write this I look at the clock and its 11:35pm on August 10,2016. That means in exactly 25 minutes my little sister would've been turning 18 years old.
Tiffany would've been starting her senior year in high school. She would've been dating, working, and so much more.
If not for YOUR one mistake. 6 years ago on May 20,2010 my sister left for school and never made it back home.
Tiffany was 11 years old. She had her whole life ahead of her. She was loving, funny, stubborn but most of all she was loved!! Loved by so many. It was your job as a bus driver to make sure every child was seated before you pulled away. Yet you didn't. My sister was being a child. She had an impulsive moment where she stuck her head out the window to yell goodbye to her friend.
You cut a 30ft school bus to try maneuvering around a vehicle because you were to impatient to wait for it to leave. You caused the back end of that bus to smash into a tree. My sister never had a chance. At that moment her life was over and my family was torn to pieces. We spend every day missing her.
Everyday reliving that horrible moment in time. It ruined us. You took away my mom and dads daughter. You took away our sister. You took away my daughter's aunt. My daughter was 3 years old and now she will only know her aunt from pictures. All because you made 1 mistake. I've tried to forgive you. I know in my heart you didn't mean to hurt my sister. But my heart and mind won't allow me to forgive you! If you felt any remorse for what happened you would've contacted my family. You never have and I'm sure you never will. I wish no harm or bad towards you. I just wish that everyday for the rest of your life that you regret that one mistakE. I hope you remember my sisters name forever. Remember the life she could've had. The family and friends that were left here broken. It's now 11:55 pm. In 5 minutes Tiffany would've been 18 years old. With her whole life ahead of her. If it wasn't for YOUR ONE MISTAKE.
