MY THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS FOR THE NEXT PHILIPPINE PRESIDENT 2016

Regret. I regret na di ako makakaboto this election. Well it’s my fault. Di ko masyadong nabigyan ng pansin ung pagpaparegister dito sa Doha.

In the past few months, di ko mavoice-out ung thoughts and opinions ko regarding election. Kasi naman, I’m shy of myself. Simpleng pagpaparegister lang di ko pa nagawa tapos mag-rereact ako about election. However, please still give me this privilege of writing my own thoughts.

I was asked earlier, if I can vote today, who among the Presidentiables will I elect? I quickly said, WALA! I have my VP who is Leni Robredo. But Presidiantiables? I’m still debating that one in my mind. Lahat sila my kakayanan but all of them have flaws I can’t consider, so far.

1. Jejomar Binay: A given corrupt official, but then atleast he made some significant contributions in Makati. Only in Makati, I believe. He is the Vice President but there’s nothing significant that he did for the country. Maybe it’s also the administration’s fault because they don’t give full authority to Binay. As you know, they are from different parties.

2. Rodrigo Duterte: Masyadong matapang. I can’t have a president whose morals are extremely different on my own beliefs. Killings, womanizing, too strict disciplinarian (I believe in discipline based on beliefs not on fears), no manners and considerations in public speaking (he curse a lot and he jokes around negatively). He should be a good example at all times. In my own opinion, takot ako sa pagiging masyadong malinis na record nya sa serbisyo. We don’t know if there’s something he hid about. Well I can’t ignore the fact that a LOT of people love him due to all his achievements in Davao. Flipino people now are very desperate on having a fast change and they all see it with Duterte.

3. Grace Poe: Matalino. Mukhang may ibubuga. May prinsipyo? Yes but No. The fact that she once turned her back to Filipino citizenship, that makes me cringe. She always have his words “Gaya ng Tatay ko” who is FPJ. Can’t she make a promise based on her own capability? I know and I believe she have that leadership ability. So far, I didn’t hear any corruption/negative issues about her in terms of public service. Maybe, just maybe. Also, if I will put my personal reasonings here, we once tried to asked help from her (for my TATAY) but she never helped us. I’m sorry but I still have this pain in my heart towards you, Binay and Villar.

4. Mar Roxas: I don’t see any potentials on him as President. He’s like what? It’s hard to say but I don’t have guts on him in terms of capability and ability. He’s like someone who prefers drama than action. Well, I’m not that negative on him. As for me, he did his best towards Yolanda survivors and all the funds given to them. I believe he is not a corrupt man. However, due to his incapabilities, his best wasn’t good enough.

5. Miriam Defensor Santiago: Almost perfect. Integrity, Capability, Intelligence and Leadership. But her perfection frightens me. Why? I can’t figure it out yet. I can’t help thinking also why his son committed suicide when he failed the bar exam. I believe, the reason was inside their family circle. Why? Definitely there’s a problem regarding the perfection of Ms. Miriam. Am I too personal? Yes, I am. Of course, I should be. We should consider the family background of our leaders for it will definitely reflect on how they will lead our country. Another issue for her is her sickness. For me, health is wealth. Ms. Miriam, please focus on your health first. We can’t afford to have a President who can battle against tough country issues who is also battling a fierce cancer. Please come back stronger and healthier and maybe by that time, you’re one of my top considerations.

My dear Presidentiables, one of you will definitely win and four of you will lose. Accept it and face reality. Siguro nga wala ako karapatan magreact sa election, but definitely I have the right to react on how I want my country to be ruled. As long as I am a Filipino, as long as most of my wages are been send to Philippines, and as long as my loved ones are living there, I will forever be concerned for my beloved country.

Mr./Ms. President, you’re not perfect. I know. I just have one and only request. DO NOT BE CORRUPT AT ALL COST. I believe corruption is the root of all evil. Corruption doesn’t only mean money. Corruption means everything that you do against the right beliefs and principles. For me it is corruption if you steal time that should be spent working. Corruption, if you steal the rights of the workers to rest. Corruption, if you get something more than what you need. Corruption, if you hide the truth from the people. And corruption, if you steal the rights of the people of having a convenient life.

My views are simple. My beliefs are simple. For I am just a simple Filipino citizen living and aspiring a simple life for my country.

At the back of my head, ayoko rin ng masyadong maunlad na Pilipinas. If economy growth means getting modernize at all cost.

That’s all my thoughts. I’m relieved.

TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY.
