hi,
Yesterday i was in a lecture organized by EML (Extra Mural Lecture) team iit madras. It was delivered by "combat veteran" Major General Gangandeep Bakshi. For those who don't know about his legacy please try to find out (It's more fun having knowledge than spiting shit about some war hero). Let me tell you something….

"His elder brother, Raman Bakshi, an Indian Army officer, was killed in action during his service to the country in the 1965 India-Pakistan War. Soon after graduation from college, He joined the National Defence Academy in June 1967 (a year and a half after his elder brother was killed in action). Quite soon after graduating from the Indian Military Academy on 14 November 1971, Bakshi was called into action at the outbreak of hostilities in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. Their batch was supposed to graduate in Dec 1971, but they were commissioned a month earlier just so that they have some real experience, as there were about to get posting in war"

During his lecture on Rise of Indian army, he started from ancient India and reached the current army scenario. So in between he glorified his victory against Pakistan and said "My generation is proud that we divided Pakistan in two as they created national threat to us. And I expect your generation to divide it in four for peace."
Reactions of people sorry “intellectuals”
“I am still not able to digest the fact the institute has given a platform to such a speech filled with hatred, instigating violence among the students. A lecture that was heavily loaded with brewing enmity, inhumanity and glorification of brutality.”

“The level of hatred in his speech was going out of proportions when he said, and I quote, ‘In our generation, we split Pakistan into 2. Your generation should split it into 4. Only then we can live in peace!’. And later he went on to glorify nuclear weaponry and justified the usage of it.”
"Hate speech, war mongering, manipulation of history, glorifying nuclear bombing, the list is endless. It is pathetic to know that he justified the atrocious army acts in Kashmir, when civilians are hunted by army day and night. When students from Kashmir opposed this verbal brutality, other students jeered at them."

For those who find it full of hatred, violence ………….. Fill if you find anything else!!
Bro you have watched Game of thrones all six seasons. So stop being JON snow, like you never been encountered to violence!
When you make nuclear weapon it means you hail and glorify it. If you believe they built it just to provide JOB OPPUTUNITY to their scientists (Specially Nuclear Scientists), you really need to read something happened on 6th and 9th 1945, in Japan.

The topic of lecture was "Rise of Indian army and National security", and you invited a war fighter, for lecture. You invites a war soldier for lecture, who lost his brother and friends in war. It’s not violence for them, it’s like either hunt or get hunted, it’s either fight or lose. What were you expecting from him? Did you expect to speak about how Indian Army managed to organize 3 yaga(in 1965, 1971 so on ). Or Do you think Indian scientists developed nuclear weapons for Deewali celebration. All he said was bitter truth which you pretending people can’t afford to listen. He was in momentum of a soldier, who fought war, lost friends and family. If he talks about splitting of Pakistan then what’s wrong in this. He was in army what if they (Pakistan) didn’t surrendered in 1999, your unaffordable truth would have been reality. By referring to you people should split Pakistan in four, he meant Indian Army (Not you). Because he know, we can do only thing “intellectual talk about non-violence and world peace”. Peace out. Continue your so called healthy discussion.

More when he was talking about scenario of army activity in Kashmir, some Students (Calling themselves Kashmiri), came pointing fingers on him and suddenly started shouting. “I don’t agree with with you, I want my dignity and blah blah … some more stupid questions and demands like removing army from there”
This is the same thing they are doing in Kashmir too.
1st it was an extra mural lecture, so if you don’t agree with him there was a Q/A session. So wait and ask your concern in Q/A session democratically. Same democratic thing is applicable in kashmir.
Stop doing what are you doing in Kashmir!!!

2nd yes, we were shouting when they tried to undemocratic thing. We all had question, and we are patiently waiting for Q/A session. Why someone enter and get what we didn’t get after waiting for 1.5 hours. We are Indians too, we also wanted to question him about Kashmir issue. Bhai hamlog chana samosa khane nhi gaye the !
And They came and Questioning Us “Do you even understand what curfew is?”
No Bro, we certainly not understand what curfew is. I hope you do. But It certainly doesn’t mean throwing stones on army (INDIAN) or pushing Army van (Again INDIAN) to river.
About Indian history 
“An instance of distorting history is when he said Dehradun was originally called Dehradrone, as Dronacharya’s camp was set there. In its spot the Indian Military Academy has come up,”
For You, Bro it’s history if you can’t even understand present, history tere se na ho payega.
Still for your knowledge “In ancient India during the Mahabharata epic era, Dronacharya the great teacher of Kauravas and Pandavas, lived here hence the name, "Dronanagari”

If India had seen it's Independence in 2014 with the coming if Modi G, what about during the term if Atal Bihari Vajpayee? Was he Congress agent?
